Swine Flu Deception – The Complete Idiot’s Guide
Posted by: | Comments
The Swine Flu is an orchestrated attempt to spread fear and chaos into the population and to try to get people vaccinated, which everyone should know contains mercury that damages your nervous system. Mercury, of course, is one of the most toxic substances you can put in a human body. It is a heavy metal known to contribute to neurological disorders, including autism, dementia, and even Alzheimer’s disease. Mercury also tends to build up in tissues in the human body and is not easily removed, so even small exposures to mercury can accumulate over time and end up compromising the health of the person involved. Download Unlimited Music – Online Music Guide
Posted by: | Comments
Download unlimited music is a dream come true for many music lovers. If you happen to be one of the millions who prefer to fill your MP3 player with only your favourites and not want to buy the whole album, then signing up for music subscription service is the right choice for you. There are practically hundreds of services you can subscribe to that offer you millions of song choices. It is so convenient to download unlimited music onto your computer or MP3 player.
It was only a few years back that legal online music became available to use. Many folks are aware of sites like iTunes and Amazon, but it is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many other music stores where you can download unlimited music easily. These are direct distribution channels of music record companies or have obtained the permission and rights from the music companies to sell music through their websites. Just to quote a few examples, there is Bleep which distributes music from Warp records, offering a wide range of electronic and indie music. Connect, which is Sonyâs in house pay-per-track music service carries music from all the major record labels. EMusic is a global music subscription service where you can download up to 40 songs per month at a price of $9.99 per month.
Now, these are just some of the many choices you have to download unlimited music. Itâs hard to decide which one is the best, but there are handles or things you can consider before you choose a music download site.
1. Pricing
Expensive does not equate to good. Some sites charge lower fees for per track or subscription service because they have much lower overheads and advertising costs than the more famous sites. This gives them a competitive edge over the big boys in the music industry.
2. Music Quality
Is the music quality good? You will be surprised that there can be some slight differences in song quality downloaded at various sites. There is a lot of science that goes into this such as the compression format and bit rates. Check out samples offered by these sites to hear and differentiate.
3. Music Format
You need to check the format of music offered for compatibility with your PC or MP3 player. MP3, OGG, AAC, WMA, ATRAC are some of the more common formats. I have to caution you here because not all formats are playable on your PC music client application or MP3 player. Take for instance; ATRAC3 can only be played on Sonyâs Connect players. There is no point to download unlimited music if you cannot even listen to them.
4. Read the Reviews
Do a quick search online and read the reviews of each site where you can download unlimited music.
Visit my blog and find out more about the most popular sites people are using to download unlimited music. Computer Hardware Guide
Posted by: | Comments
Does the technical name of different component of a computer, such as RAM, processor, scares you off?
In this article, we will be covering most of the hardware in regardless of the form size (physical size of the computer casing)
Essential Computer Hardware consists of
Mainboard
CPU
RAM
Hard Disk Drive
Graphic Card
Power Supply / Casing
Keyboard / Mouse
Monitor
DVD Writer
Mainboard (Motherboard)
This is the biggest piece of hardware in the system. This is where various other essential components connect onto it, such as CPU, Ram, Hard Disk drive, etc, to it. Modern mid-range mainboard usually comes with add-on component such LAN port, sound card and graphics card.
As other hardware connects to the mainboard, it is important to ensure that the mainboard purchased is of high caliber and has at least the add-on component as stated in the paragraph above.
Central Processing Unit (CPU)
This is one of the computer hardware that determines the speed of the whole system. The other determining hardware are the RAM and Hard Disk Drive. Single Core CPUs are almost obsolete and are much slower compared to their Dual Core / Quad Core counterparts.
Usually a numeric figure is stated and that is the clock frequency, commonly known as the speed of the CPU. Usually the higher the clock frequency, the faster your data can be processed.
Ram
Known as Random Access Memory, are memory chips where data are temporary stored. By storing the data on RAMs, the CPU is able to process the data in a shorter period which leads faster execution of the instructions and tasks assigned to the computer.
Usually a numeric figure (in Gb) is stated and that is the physical size of data the RAM is able to store.
Hard Disk Drive
This computer hardware keeps all data permanently, unlike the RAM which will erase data if the computer is shut down. Comes in sizes of 2.5″ (for laptop) and 3.5″ (for Desktop)
Usually a numeric figure (in Gb) is stated and comes in various capacity.
A rough calculation
Assuming a 4 min long music song is stored in mp3 format and takes up 4mb worth of space in the hard disk. 160Gb will be able to store around 40,000 songs!
Graphic Card
As stated, this card is initially responsible for displaying images onto the monitor. However, due to the high rendering first-person-shooter games being produced, gamers will demand their graphics card to be better than the CPU. This is due to the fact that the graphic card will handle all taxing gaming images which the CPU was unable to process. To meet up the demands, even graphics cards are going dual core!
Power Supply Unit (PSU)
The life of the computer! This computer hardware sends power to various devices, such as the mainboard, hard disk drives, etc.
This is often the most overlooked hardware and is frequently compromised due to budget constraints. However, by cutting down on getting a good PSU, risks such as electric shock and under-current may occurs which could instantly destroy the mainboard and other hardware by providing the wrong current or voltage!!
Computer Casing / Chasis
Computer case is the tough armor to protect the dedicated various computer hardware.
Casing are important as they ventilate and regulate air flow to prevent overheating of the essential computer hardware.
Optical Drives
Commonly known as CD-ROM / DVD-ROM or DVD Writers, this allows reading of various CDs/DVDs. ROM hardware are only able to read from CD / DVD, while DVD Writers enables writing (copying of data) to the discs.
The latest technology for Optical Drive is currently Blu-Ray ROM will allows reading of Blu-ray disc. Due to the high cost, it is not widely included in systems.
Monitor
Is a visual display unit that shows images generated by the graphic card. CRT monitors that are working today are using older technology which consumes more power. Mainstream monitor manufactured are now mostly LCD due to their compact size and cheaper cost to manufacture.
LCD monitors come in various sizes, ranging from a minimum of 15″ to up to 70″!
Keyboard and Mouse
Is the hardware to input data and commands into the computer.
I hope that the above computer guide will assist you in having a further understanding of computer hardware.

Beginner’s Guide to Computers – Learning All About RAM
Posted by: | Comments
So you never thought youâd be getting in the details of acronyms or computer jargon that you couldnât care less for, donât be intimidated. Hereâs an easy guide for you to enjoy and learn the basics of your PC and remove the âtechnologically challengedâ sticker from your cubicle.
While your computer processes information, it requires data to work on. This data needs to be stored in the computer because the computers refers to its memory (data storage) when required. Some data might be required on a regular basis and some might be required for say a particular process only. Therefore depending on the type of data, the computer stores it in different types of memory â the long term or short term. Long term memory inside the computer is in the form of ROM (Read Only Memory â a storage through which data can only be accessed and cannot be edited or deleted; this type of memory is used for storing important system files that should never be altered) or in the for of CDs, DVDs etc. (as the data entered remains even when the computer is turned off.
Short term memory of a computer is like the assisting storage space where that computer can store data that needs to be processed, work on it and produce results. This is like the computers rough space. The data stored in the short term memory or
the Random Access Memory (RAM) vanishes when the computer is turned off.
Since every program work on uses RAM, the more the RAM the better the efficiency of your computer. More RAM assists in loading larger applications in the computer or working on more programs at a time. RAM capacity is measured in terms of MB (Megabytes), with a typical computer consisting of 64 MB or 128 MB. The RAM of your computer can be upgraded to 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB, given your system can support it.
RAM â different types and some more jargon explained
Most computers are equipped with DRAM (Dynamic RAM). As soon as the power is turned off or the computer is shut down the data in the DRAM vanishes. Then there is the SRAM (static RAM), which is larger than DRAM and is not refreshed like DRAM. However, on power turn off even this memory is lost.
Since SRAMs and DRAMs are highly volatile, many new computers are equipped with a newer memory version, the flash memory. Flash memory is the memory chip that doubles up as the hard drive for your computer.
Random Access Memory â the road ahead
The big challenge for computer manufacturers and research scientists is to develop a non volatile RAM. There have been some developments like Nanteroâs Nanotube with 10 GB memory but a more practical version for common PCs remains awaited.

A Guide to Basic Computer Terminology

A Guide to Basic Computer Terminology
Ram? Mouse? One is an animal and one is a rodent right? Ram…that is the zodiac sign for Aries… If this is what these words mean to you than you can surely use this quick glossary of computer terminology. It would be a good idea to read through them before purchasing a computer because these are things you should know about first. If you already have a computer then these computer terms can help you know what to do if your new computer equipment is unfamiliar. Also, this computer terminology can help you if you have to call in for technical help.
Okay lets go!
Cache: Cache is another type of memory kindred to RAM. The computer uses cache to quickly move data between the RAM and the CPU.
CD-ROM Drive: Most new computers now come with a CD-ROM drive as standard equipment. A CD-ROM drive reads data from a disc. These CDs look like a music CD, but hold data instead of music. CD-ROMs also contain games, dictionaries, recipe files, and lots of other things that you can load onto your computer.
CPU: The CPU, or central processing unit, is the brains of the computer. Most new Windows based programs use a Pentium processor or an AMD Athlon XP. New Macs use a different type of CPU called Power PC.
Disk Drive: Virtually all computers come with a disk drive that can read and save information on portable diskettes, also called floppy disks. You can use floppy disks to save information or to load new software onto your computer.
Hard Drive: The hard drive is also called the hard disk. You’ll probably never see it because it is nestled inside your computer. It’s the computer’s electronic filling cabinet, and it stores the computer’s operating system, files, programs and documents.
Keyboard: Just like a typewriter keyboard, this device is the primary way of inputting data into the computer programs.
Megahertz (MHz): This is the clock speed of the microprocessor. The higher the number, the quicker the information is processed. MHz relates to how many millions of instructions can be processed per second.
Memory: This is the circuitry or device that holds information in an electrical or magnetic form. There is read-only memory (ROM), which is information primarily stored on a disk, and random-access memory (RAM), which is chip-based storage inside the computer. Memory is typically measured in megabytes (MBs).
Modem: This mechanism connects a computer to a phone line so information can be sent from one computer to another or the user can access an on-line service or the Internet. In view of the popularity of the Internet, a modem is now considered basic equipment and comes on practically all-new computers. Most modems come with fax capabilities.
Monitor: An output device that allows you to see what you are doing (it is what you are looking into right now to see this). Most computers come with 14 or 15-inch monitors. This size is good for most people’s needs. Larger 17 or 21-inch monitors also are available, but may cost more. Myself, I prefer the 17-inch.
Motherboard: The motherboard is the circuit board that everything in the computer plugs into. The CPU, RAM and cache all plug into the motherboard.
Mouse: The mouse is another input device that makes getting around in your computer easier. It is a handheld object that is good for doing tasks such as moving and pointing to objects on the screen, and can replace the function and control keys of the keyboard. (If you need a lesson on how the mouse works and how to use it click here for a tutorial.)
Printer: A printer is an essential part of the computer if you want a hard copy of your work. There are four types of printers on the market: dot matrix, inkjet, bubble jet and laser. The dot matrix is the most basic. Most inkjets and bubble jets can print color and graphics, and a laser printer offers the best resolution at the highest speed.
Video Card: The video card is the part of the computer that sends the images to the monitor.
Well there you have it, a quick course on computer terms. I hope it has helped to guide you in your purchase of a new computer; or to help you with the one you have.
