Society is general. This video is in ways general. It is normal for Asians families. It has and will continue to be for the foreseeable future for good reason. Yes, the girl poses a problem to the story’s plot, but many people can see behind it to see the bigger picture. The antagonist is dementia and aging. Why else would they mention it at the end and not the “spoiled” girl. It may be that is one small message, but the bigger one is one against dementia.

I agree we should, but frequently, the elderly do not want us to worry. It is even shown in the video.
As to your if she did get hit by the car, that did not happen in the video. If she did get hit, the message it sends at is it today would be very different. Its even possible to consider that one message is to keep track of the elderly. I doubt ceeryill is trying to say that. I dont consider such lack of the act from the girl to be a b**** maker.

it’s the grandchild’s fault for not bother to know where grandmother is. . . if you say it is the norm in our society. . it is a norm in the present generation onwards. . but not everyone’s like that. . .

    retarded-ness?

It is a so called norm in many Asian homes when the child are spoiled and taking for granted everything. I think what ceeryill is trying to say is that at least have the courtesy to check where’s the grandma going. . . let’s say if the ending is the car did not stop and grandma is hit by the car. . what says you now Jploc3000? Regardless of whether grandma have any disease or not. . we should always take note where elderly are. .

its not the grandchilds fault. the grandmother loves her grandchild and does little extra things for her, it is the norm in our society.

The g-child didnt do anythng wrong. She let her g-mother go out and get her food to feed her, which is the norm in many Asian homes, but made worse here because of the dementia and rice cooker. Most Asian elderly arent in nursing homes, and they feel that as a blessing so they thank their children (adults now) by taking after the grandchildren. It is a custom. The granddaughter isnt the antagonist here, its dementia.

@ceeryill I don’t get why you would want to slap her. She didn’t even do anything wrong?
